The RN is responsible for providing professional care to a group of patients using the nursing process and therapeutic modalities. They collaborate on overall care plans and document patient needs across biophysical, cognitive, and socio-cultural dimensions.
Candidates must have a current California Registered Nurse license and at least 2 years of experience in Mother Baby care. Required certifications include BLS, with ACLS and NRP preferred.
Overview The staff RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the therapeutic environments, treatment and modalities and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The RN shall, for their patient, collaborate in the formulation of the overall plan of care for the patient, as evidenced by written documentation. Identifies needs and problems specific to biophysical, cognitive, developmental, emotional, socio-cultural, and spiritual. Demonstrates accountability for on-going awareness of the status of assigned patients. Collects and documents data appropriate to the nature and severity of the condition.
Minimum 2 years experience in Mother Baby. Current CA Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
