The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic imaging using radionuclides to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating radiation detection equipment, and ensuring patient safety and image quality.
Candidates must be licensed by the IL State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners and registered by ARRT and/or NMTCB. BLS certification and strong communication skills are also required.
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic imaging using radionuclides to assist in patient diagnosis or treatment. They ensure high-quality images for licensed practitioners, provide patient care, and follow medical ethics to complete procedures successfully.
1. Licensed by the IL State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners. 2. Registered by ARRT and/or NMTCB. 3. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. 4. Strong communication skills.
Starting pay will be $42.7500. Will commensurate with experience.
