Job DescriptionThe primary function of this role is to provide Personal Care Assistance - or Direct Support and related services to the individual in their home.
These tasks include: Assisting with household chores ( cleaning, changing linens, trash disposal)Assisting with bathing and hygieneAssisting with toiletingAssisting with exercise, or ambulation, if neededAssisting with activities of daily living( personal grooming, and dressing)Assisting with grocery shoppingAssisting with preparing meals and snacksAssistance with reminders and monitoring medicationAssist with scheduling appointmentsAssist with transporting Qualifications High School Diploma or GEDFirst Aid and CPR certificationCNA/ PCT certification preferredMust be very familiar with and previously trained in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)Must be very familiar and efficient with working with individuals with behaviors.Must have at least three(3) years of RECENT experience in a health-related field, day program services, home health care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
