Perform diagnostic echo and vascular ultrasound procedures, including Duplex imaging and echocardiography, in accordance with laboratory policies. Maintain compliance with accreditation standards and provide direct patient care through assessment and documentation.
Requires certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (ARDMS RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI RVS) and current BLS certification. Graduation from an accredited Vascular or Cardiovascular Technology program and one year of experience are preferred.

Performs diagnostic echo/vascular ultrasound procedures as outlined in policies and procedures of the Cardiovascular Laboratory, including but not limited to Duplex imaging and/or echocardiography. May be cross-trained into other areas in the department. Responsible for maintaining compliance with Intersocietal Commission of Accreditation of Echo/Vascular Laboratory standards. Assumes responsibility and accountability for patients in the department and provides care to these patients through assessment, observation and documentation. Minimum Training and Education: Graduation from an accredited Vascular Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or Ultrasonography program is preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered. One year of training/work experience including a variety of Vascular exams is preferred. Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers as a Registered Vascular Technologist (ARDMS RVT) or by Cardiovascular Credentialing International as a Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI RVS) is required prior to being hired.
