The Peer Support Specialist assists individuals in navigating mental health and substance use disorder services. They model recovery competency and demonstrate ongoing coping skills to support clients in the community.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and certification as a Peer Support Specialist (or ability to obtain it). Candidates must have lived experience with a mental health condition and a valid driver's license.

We are seeking an ACT Peer Support Specialist. The Peer Support Specialist will assist individuals in understanding and using mental health and substance use disorders services. The Peer Support Specialist will model competency in recovery and demonstrate on-going coping skills. The Peer Support Specialist will be assigned to our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) department.
00 am to 5:00 pm. Some evenings and weekends may be required. This assignment is in-person at 1131 Ionia Ave NW Grand Rapids, Michigan 49503. The person in this role will also travel within the community on a daily basis.
