Responsibilities
Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of ICU patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; administer medications and monitor patient status.
Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other disciplines.
Utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
Document care accurately in patient records and participate in care planning, handoffs, and discharge planning as appropriate.
Requirements
Current Registered Nurse licensure in California (active) and ability to practice in the ICU setting.
ICU nursing experience or demonstrated competency in critical care environments.
BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred or as required by unit policy.
Ability to perform in a 12-hour night shift schedule and work in a hospital setting.
Strong clinical assessment skills, evidence-based practice, and effective communication with multidisciplinary teams.
Willingness to participate in credentialing, orientation, and onboarding processes for a travel assignment.
