Responsibilities
Independently perform a wide variety of CT imaging procedures, following department procedures.
Prepare and set up imaging equipment; position patients to obtain high-quality diagnostic studies.
Ensure patient safety and comfort; provide age-appropriate care per procedure guidelines.
Adjust imaging parameters and protocols to optimize image quality while adhering to ALARA principles.
Verify exams and requests, maintain documentation, and ensure equipment and workspace are ready and properly sanitized.
Collaborate with radiology staff and physicians to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.
Requirements
Active radiologic technologist license in the state or eligible to obtain one.
Certification in radiography; CT certification (e.g., ARRT CT) preferred or must be able to obtain as required.
Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program (associate’s degree or higher).
Ability to work in a hospital setting and adapt to department needs, including three 12-hour day shifts per week.
Strong independent work capabilities with dependable, accountable, and cooperative work habits.
Current registration or eligibility as required by state licensing bodies; BLS certification preferred or must be obtainable.
