Responsibilities
Perform CT imaging procedures with attention to image quality and patient safety, following established protocols.
Prepare patients for CT exams, verify orders, obtain consent as required, and position patients accurately for optimal imaging.
Operate CT equipment, select appropriate protocols, adjust technical factors, and monitor patient comfort and safety during scanning.
Obtain, review, and document images, ensure correct labeling, and support radiology workflow with accurate data entry into the PACS/RIS.
Monitor and manage contrast administration when required, including patient assessment for allergies and adverse reactions.
Maintain infection control and radiation safety standards; assist with basic patient care as needed and coordinate with radiology staff and referring clinicians.
Requirements
Active AZ license to practice radiologic technology
CT certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Minimum 2 years of CT and radiologic imaging experience
Ability to work nights in a hospital setting; comfortable with a rural Critical Access Hospital environment
Fluency with patient positioning, safety protocols, and image acquisition for CT/X-ray exams
