The ER Attendant provides essential care and comfort to patients with urgent needs while assisting physicians and nurses in the Emergency Department. Additionally, the role involves performing clerical tasks and participating in the training of new personnel.
Candidates must be a high school graduate or equivalent and hold a current BLS certification. Some college education is preferred for this position.
Overview The ER Attendant performs various care activities and related services necessary in caring for the emergent and urgent needs and comfort of patients while assisting the RN and physician with functions in the Emergency Department. He/she works under the supervision of a licensed nurse. He/she performs other clerical duties using computer desktop applications. The ER Attendant participates in the orientation and training of personnel.
