The Medical Assistant supports healthcare professionals with patient examinations, procedures, and the administration of medications. They are also responsible for recording medical histories, managing patient records, and maintaining a clean clinical environment.
Candidates must have completed a certified Medical Assistant program that includes phlebotomy. Required skills include proficiency in medical terminology, basic computer skills, and strong interpersonal abilities.
We are a FQHC, currently seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) for an opening at our Family Health Center @ Elgin location.
As a Medical Assistant with us, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive top-notch healthcare in a friendly and comfortable environment. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: · Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures, · Record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately, · Prepare and administer medications as directed by providers, · Perform administrative tasks, including managing patient records, and · Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment. Additionally, you will interact closely with patients, making them feel at ease while assisting with any concerns they may have.
Completion of a certified Medial Assistant program with phlebotomy, required, Strong interpersonal skills and a caring attitude towards patients, Proficiency in medical terminology and basic computer skills, Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
