The role involves greeting patients, managing medical records, and collecting vital signs. Additionally, the assistant prepares patients for exams, handles laboratory specimens, and provides instructions on medications and diets.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and one year of experience as a Medical Assistant. A Medical Assistant certification is required or must be obtained within three months of employment.
