Provide specialized respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary disorders, including administering treatments and conducting diagnostic tests. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans and educate patients on respiratory health.
Requires a valid RRT or CRT licensure or certification and proven experience in a clinical respiratory therapy setting. Candidates must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing respiratory care services to patients of all ages in accordance with physician orders, department policies, ad hospital standards.
Minimum Level of Education Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Licensure, Certification, Registration: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the State of Georgia required Certified Respiratory Therapist may be considered based on experience and facility needs BLS Certification required ACLS, and PALS certifications (or obtained within 6 months of hire)
Work Experience Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in respiratory therapy experience preferred Hospital, emergency department, ICU, or critical access hospital experience preferred Experience with ventilator management, oxygen therapy, aerosol medication administration, and emergency response preferred Familiarity with electronic health records, respiratory documentation, and regulatory standards preferred
Skills and Abilities Ability to assess and respond appropriately to changes in patient respiratory condition Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment safely and effectively Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, patients, and families Ability to prioritize tasks and respond quickly in emergency situations Ability to function independently while maintaining teamwork and professionalism Knowledge of infection prevention, patient safety, and respiratory care standards Ability to provide patient family education regarding respiratory treatments and therapies Ability to work flexible schedules, weekends, holidays, call rotation, and emergency staffing situations as needed
May be exposed to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, laboratory chemicals, and conditions common to a clinical laboratory environment.
