Job Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Med/Surg Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the DAY shift, PRN! In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality patient care to individuals across medical-surgical units, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates. Support medication administration under the supervision of nursing staff, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety protocols. Maintain a safe and clean environment by following infection control procedures such as aseptic technique and proper disposal of sharps and waste. Document patient interactions and care activities precisely within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to ensure accurate medical records. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans. Assist with specialized care needs such as dementia or Alzheimer's care, memory care, behavioral health support, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays.

CNA Certification in the state of Georgia Skills Proven experience working in medical-surgical units or acute care settings; ICU or Level I Trauma Center experience is highly valued. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and vital signs monitoring techniques. Experience with patient service tasks including catheter care, phlebotomy procedures, and basic life support certification. Ability to perform caregiving duties across diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, hospice patients, and those requiring memory or dementia care. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Competence in using assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and working within infection control protocols like aseptic technique.
