Perform a variety of vascular ultrasound imaging examinations for adult and pediatric patients to diagnose anatomic and physiologic disorders. Ensure proper documentation of procedures and maintain the readiness of all imaging equipment.
Requires an Associate degree or trade school equivalency and certification as an RVT, RVS, ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI. No prior experience is required as training is available for new graduates.

Role Purpose The Registered Vascular Sonographer performs a variety of tests to adult and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. Exams include, but not limited to, carotid imaging, peripheral plethysmography, doppler wave form, segmental pressure, venous and arterial imaging, and thoracic outlet studies. May also perform vascular procedures.
Performs vascular ultrasound imaging examinations and ensures proper documentation of procedures. Performs vascular studies independently, may perform studies on-call, portable exams, and at other sites as required by work area. Ensures proper function and readiness of all equipment.
