Job description

JOB SUMMARY\n\nThe Neurodiagnostic Technologist (ND Tech), under direction from the Supervisor\nand according to lab protocols, will participate as an integral member of the\nNeurodiagnostic Services department by performing routine, specialized and\ncomplex Neurodiagnostic procedures to include: EEGs, ambulatory studies, Phase I\nVideo EEG in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU), Long Term (LTM), live patient\nEEG monitoring, multi-modality Evoked Potentials (BAEP, VEP, SEP), Phase II\ninvasive recordings, ECoGs, cortical mapping, Wada testing and other specialized\nprocedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including nursing floors,\nintensive care units, operating rooms and other specialized locations. The ND\nTech will ensure electrode and technical integrity and quality of all\nNeurodiagnostic procedures performed. Accurate results provide the physician\nwith valuable information to diagnose and treat neurological\nconditions/disorders. The ND Tech may participate in departmental and\norganizational programs, including performance improvement activities,\nin-services, and staff development activities.\n\nThis position is scheduled for 10-hour night shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM.\nCandidates must be available to work variable shifts as needed and participate\nin a rotating weekend schedule.
