Job Description

What you’ll do Provide emergency and urgent medical/surgical care for small animal patients. Triage and stabilize critical patients; perform emergency surgeries and diagnostics. Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients about status, prognosis, and treatment options. Work collaboratively with technicians and support staff; mentor colleagues as needed. Maintain accurate medical records and follow hospital protocols and standards.

Qualifications

DVM/VMD from an accredited veterinary school. Current NC veterinary license (or ability to obtain licensure). Emergency medicine experience preferred; motivated new graduates with emergency skillset considered. Strong procedural skills (intubation, venipuncture, urinary catheterization, basic emergency surgery). Excellent communication, teamwork, and client-service orientation. Ability to work variable shifts including nights and weekends.
