The RN provides high-quality, patient-centered care within the operating room, utilizing the nursing process for assessment, planning, and implementation. Responsibilities include coordinating care delivery, promoting health, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure quality outcomes.
Candidates must be a registered nurse licensed in the State of Connecticut and have graduated from an accredited school of nursing. BCLS certification is required within one month of hire, and a BSN is preferred.

The Standards of Practice describe a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by utilizing the nursing process components of assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation and evaluation.
