The RN provides high-quality, patient-centered care in the operating room by utilizing the nursing process for assessment, planning, and implementation. They are responsible for coordinating care delivery and maintaining therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
Candidates must be a registered nurse licensed in the State of Connecticut with required experience in OR nursing. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required, with a BSN preferred and BCLS certification mandatory.

1. STANDARDS OF PRACTICERN practice is guided by the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice (2015). The Standards of Practice describe a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by utilizing the nursing process components of assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation and evaluation.
OR nursing experience required.
