• Description Summary/Objective The Registered Nurse (RN) at USDH plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing various procedures.
• Reporting to the Director of Endoscopy Operations and Nurse Manager, the RN utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• This position involves direct patient interaction, coordination of care, supervision of non-licensed staff, and adherence to regulatory standards and facility policies.
• Essential Functions Deliver direct nursing care to patients before, during, and after procedures, adhering to established protocols and the nursing process.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs and non-licensed staff members as necessary.
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies, ensuring readiness for patient care.
• Assist with procedures as required, following physician orders and maintaining compliance with PA State Board of Nursing guidelines.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, response to treatment, and overall condition, intervening as needed.
• Administer medications per physician orders, adhering to established protocols and safety guidelines.
• Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of instruments and equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and infection control standards.
• Collaborate with staff, physicians, and management to address nursing issues and interpret facility policies effectively.
• Participate in performance improvement activities, infection control, emergency preparedness, safety, and quality assurance programs.
• Uphold professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with patients and staff.

• Work Environment This job operates in a professional medical office environment, utilizing standard office equipment.

• Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a per diem position, with an 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday.
• No weekends are required.
• Travel Travel based on location.

Requirements

Graduate of accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred. Current State Registered Nurse Licensure Current BLS/ACLS certification
