The Medical Assistant is responsible for administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and documenting patient care. They also provide direct care and support individual patient programs to help those with brain injuries regain independence.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid Medical Assistant license. Experience in rehabilitation, nursing, or a related field is required.
As the Medical Assistant, you will assist with passing of medications to the patients, and other related duties as delegated. You will occasionally perform direct care duties. You will communicate appropriate details to staff nurses. The work site may be the clinic, a home and/or an apartment complex which may have two stories; if two stories, the top story is accessible by one flight of stairs.
