Overview Occupational Therapist, Acute Care — Kapaa, HI.
Travel temporary assignment starting 07/20/2026 for 13 weeks.
Earn 1,951 to 2,002 per week with guaranteed 32 hours per week.
Shift is 5x8 Days (typically 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a lunch break 12:00–1:00; schedule may flex, Saturdays required as needed).
Involves delivering OT services in a hospital rehabilitation setting, with inpatient and outpatient coverage, and collaboration with the broader care team.

Responsibilities

Conduct evaluations and ongoing re-evaluations of function, ROM, strength, and activities of daily living (ADLs); develop and implement an OT plan of care under physician referral
Provide direct OT interventions to restore or maintain function; design purposeful activities, gait training, upper-extremity therapy, and adaptive equipment as prescribed
Collaborate with nursing and inter-disciplinary team to coordinate screenings, treatment plans, and discharge planning; maintain accurate treatment documentation
Educate patients and families on OT recommendations; facilitate transitions of care and coordinate follow-up with community resources
May deliver OT services for a specific unit or center; participate in staff education, policy development, and quality improvement activities; contribute to safety and infection control standards

Requirements
