• Essential Responsibilities Administer physical therapy treatments and interventions as established by the Registered Physical Therapist Assist residents in achieving maximum physical function and independence Monitor resident response to treatment and communicate progress to the supervising therapist Accurately document treatments, progress notes, and resident outcomes Educate residents and families on therapeutic exercises and mobility techniques Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans Maintain compliance with facility, state, federal, and professional standards Promote a safe, positive, and motivating rehabilitation environment

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Current PTA licensure in New York State (or eligibility for licensure) Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Physical Therapist Assistant Assist the Physical Therapist in planning, developing and carrying out treatment programs and procedures for residents. Writes observations of resident’s behavior and progress in Progress Notes. Maintains statistical records and other departmental reports as requested by Physical Therapist. Assist with in-service training programs upon request. Assist with keeping supplies in good order and daily sanitation of equipment. Arrives to work on time, regularly, and working as scheduled; responsible for own transportation. Utilizes electronic timekeeping system. Observes and practices confidentiality of resident information and privacy when performing job duties. Recognizes and follows the dress code of the facility including wearing name tag at all times. Qualifications

Physical Therapist Assistant Graduation from a physical therapy assistant approved program required. New York State license to practice required. Current, vaild CPR/BLS credentials This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.
