- Advocates is in search of a nurturing and innovative
- Mentor (DSP/1:1 support staff) to support a young woman with developmental disabilities. This pivotal role entails supporting her with growth in her independence in both her home and community while working on her goals, which include: Acquiring essential independent living abilities, including working on her personal care needs (showering and restroom use) Fostering communication and social interaction skills to assist with building peer relationships Facilitating her participation in community-based social, recreational, and fitness activities related to her interests The ideal DSP for this position will be comfortable with providing support for personal care, have experience with supporting individuals who struggle with emotional regulation, and be patient and able to establish boundaries with clear expectations. The candidate must possess a keen sense of attention to detail, especially when electronically logging each day's time, mileage, and service documentation. Internet access and a valid email address are required. Hours and days of work Saturday (8 AM - 4 PM). There is some flexibility in the start time, if needed.
- Pay rate: $24 per hour when providing direct support with possible room for advancement. The hourly rate for indirect/training is $16 per hour.

The individual does not have the authority to set the staff salary in this model. The Mentor is paid at the provider’s rate for the service based on an assessment of the specific support needs of the individual in the areas of behavioral support, communication support, and physical support needs.
