The Registered Nurse is responsible for implementing, directing, and coordinating patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This includes treating physical and psychosocial changes unique to the cardiac, medical, and surgical patient population.
Requires graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and a valid Pennsylvania RN license. CPR certification is required, with ACLS needed for the Telemetry/Observation unit within one year of hire.

Included is recognition and treatment of the physical and psychosocial changes unique to the age/population group served on the specific unit.
