Responsibilities

• Triage obstetric patients on arrival, assess maternal and fetal status, and communicate findings to the care team
• Circulate during labor and delivery as part of the obstetric team, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Recover and provide post-anesthesia care in the PACU for obstetric patients as needed
• Monitor vital signs, pain control, and progress during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period
• Document assessments, interventions, and discharge planning; educate patients and families on postoperative care and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, nursing colleagues, and support staff; respond to obstetric emergencies according to protocol

Requirements

• Active registered nurse license (state-specific requirements apply)
• Demonstrated ability to triage, circulate, and recover in the PACU for obstetric patients
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a 3x12-hour schedule
• Willingness to engage in a 13-week travel assignment
