The PTA is responsible for direct patient care, including planning and implementing specific treatment programs under the direction of a Physical Therapist. They also contribute to the further development of services across various facilities within the PAM Health System.
Candidates must hold a valid PTA license in the state of employment and a current BLS certification. One year of clinical experience and specialty certifications in Parkinson's, Stroke, or Vestibular care are preferred.
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), under the direction of the Physical Therapist, will be primarily responsible for direct patient care, planning and implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of Physical Therapy in the PAM Health System. The Physical Therapist Assistant will additionally be involved in the further development of the services. The Physical Therapist Assistant must be flexible to meet the needs of the system within many different facilities.
Education and Training: PTA license in the state where the hospital or clinic resides. Current BLS certification required. Preferred specality certifications for Parkinson's Disease, Stroke and Vestibular.
One year of clinical experience preferred.
