As a Wound Ostomy Care Technician (CNA), you will:
Assist with identification, assessment, measurement, staging, and documentation of acute and chronic wounds
Perform wound cleansing, dressing changes, pressure injury prevention measures/checklist, and ostomy care per protocol.
Conduct daily routine skin integrity rounds on all patients on the assigned units/areas.
Support patient and caregiver education to promote self-management and discharge readiness.
Promote interdisciplinary collaboration and real time support for providers with appropriate wound documentation.
Accurately document wound data to support outcome tracking and performance metrics.
Participate in skin integrity programs, prevalence studies, and unit-based initiatives.
Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications include:
Two years of acute care hospital experience as CNA/PCT
Experience working with interdisciplinary teams is preferred
Completion of AHC WOMC Wound/Ostomy training program
Certified Wound Care Technician (WCTC), Wound Treatment Associate (WTA), or Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Technician (WOCT), or willingness to obtain within 6 months
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Strong observational skills
Ability to prioritize care for high-acuity patients
