The Certified Medical Assistant supports physicians and nurses by performing patient assessments, basic diagnostic procedures, and specimen collection. They are also responsible for maintaining medical equipment, stocking examination areas, and monitoring changes in patient conditions.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Required certifications include a current Montana CCMA, CMA, or RMA, and an AHA BLS certificate.
