• Shift: SwingPOSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS AHCA – Level 2 Screening/ Eligibility According to the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), disqualifying offenses for a background screening include: violent crimes like murder, manslaughter, aggravated assault, and battery; sexual offenses like sexual battery, child sexual abuse; drug-related felonies, particularly trafficking or distribution; child abuse and neglect; fraud and theft, especially against vulnerable populations; and kidnapping or false imprisonment; all of which could prevent someone from working in a healthcare setting regulated by AHCA.

• EDUCATION: Graduation from High School or GED. Will consider individuals without a high-school diploma with at least 1 year of experience in the treatment industry.
• EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 1-year experience in treatment industry preferred.
• LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current and valid Florida Driver License. CPR certification and First Aid within 90 days of employment.
• SKILLS/ABILITIES: Demonstrates Proficiency in Communication, Observation & Written skills. Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality laws. Knowledge of Drug-Free Workplace Policies. Knowledge of Workplace Violence. Knowledge of Corporate Integrity & Ethics Knowledge of addictions. Ability to interact with a multi-disciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical health. Knowledge of the 12-Step Recovery Program. Knowledge and competency in problem solving, stress management, ethics and team building. Knowledge of alcohol and other drugs that includes; Alcohol and addictive drugs and their physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual impact on the individual. Alcohol and addictive drugs and their impact on the family. Ability to determine if a medical emergency exists and to take appropriate action, when necessary. Knowledge of emergency procedures used in case of alcohol and/or drug overdose. Knowledge of First Aid and CPR. Knowledge of Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction, including: Confidentiality Patient Rights Professional Code of Ethics Discrimination Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of responsibilities not delineated in the job description which are related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team.
