The specialist will use encoder and grouper software to determine appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for neurology and other specialties. They must apply regulatory requirements and institutional guidelines, including NCCI and Medicare directives, to ensure accurate coding and modifier selection.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and either medical coding education or an active coding certification. At least one year of progressive coding experience and a professional certification (such as CPC, COC, or CCS) are required.
This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position that is 100% remote. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. Applicants hired into this position can work from most states. This will be discussed during the interview process.
