- As a successful candidate, you will: Prepare for patient visits by reviewing records, updating documentation, and ensuring exam rooms are ready.
- Room patients, collect vital signs, update medication and allergy information, and report abnormal findings to the care team.
- Assist providers during exams and procedures while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
- Perform routine clinical duties, including injections, phlebotomy, specimen collection, basic nursing procedures, and patient education within scope of practice.
- Support scheduling, referrals, pre-certifications, telehealth visits, and care coordination activities.
- Maintain compliance with infection control, OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA, and organizational policies and procedures.
- Manage clinical supplies, equipment sterilization, and laboratory specimen handling.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Your qualifications should include
- High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Two years of clinical Medical Assistant experience in a primary care setting, including laboratory testing and processing diagnostic orders.
- Experience in at least one of the following areas: Infusion scheduling and schedule management Mentoring or precepting staff Clinic throughput leadership Procedural clinic leadership Sterile processing/equipment management Quality improvement initiatives Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Specialty-specific clinical assisting experience preferred.
