Perform a variety of patient care services, including recording vital signs and assisting with diagnostic procedures under supervision. Handle specimen collection, phlebotomy, and medication administration while maintaining accurate patient documentation.
Requires a High School Diploma and graduation from a certified Medical Assistant program with a CMA credential. Must possess active BLS certification from the AHA and complete the CMA or RMA exam within six months of hire.

The Medical Assistant is an employee who performs a wide variety of patient care services under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician. Such services can involve therapeutic and/or diagnostic procedures.

UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
