The technologist conducts standard and complex EEG examinations and assists physicians with EMG and nerve conduction studies. They are responsible for patient preparation, transporting patients, and communicating test results to physicians.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a current CPR certification. At least 1 year of experience is required, with 2-3 years preferred.
The technologist conducts standard and complex EEG examinations. The technologist will assist physicians as required with EMG and nerve conduction studies. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Provides patient care services to patients of all ages from neonates to geriatric Transports patients to and from Neurosciences department. Prepares patient for prescribed test. Performs test in accordance with physicians's orders. Assesses the quality of the test. Communicates the results of the test in a timely manner to the physician.
