Provide patient-centered nursing care for individuals and families throughout the perioperative experience in the Pre-Op Recovery department. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and implement care while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes.
Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing or higher from an NLN-accredited school and a current Illinois Registered Nurse license. Active BLS certification is required, with ACLS and PALS preferred or required within six months of hire.

As a Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing patient-centered nursing care that is goal-directed and adapted to the needs of individuals and families throughout the perioperative experience.
In this role, the Staff Nurse will provide nursing care based on established knowledge, skills, and standards of practice. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care while maintaining accountability for all care provided. The Staff Nurse works collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and a positive patient experience.

UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
