Performs complex clinical laboratory tests and analyses under general supervision. Ensures all duties adhere to department policies and regulatory standards from NYS DOH, CAP, and TJC.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology and New York State certification and licensure. Experience is desired but not essential for the role.
Under general supervision, performs a variety of difficult and sophisticated clinical laboratory tests and analysis of varying complexities in designated areas of the laboratory. Performs related routine laboratory duties. Adheres to SJMC Laboratory department policies and procedures and NYS DOH, CAP and TJC regulatory agency standards.
Qualifications/Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Science of Medical Laboratory Technology
Licenses/Registration/Certifications: New York State Department of Education Clinical Laboratory Technologist Certification
New York State Department of Education Clinical Laboratory Technologist License
Experience: Experience desired but not essential
Special skills: Experienced with general Laboratory equipment and Lab computer system
