The Collection Lab RN performs independent nursing assessments and delegated medical functions in an ambulatory care setting. Key duties include managing central lines, performing sterile PORT access, and coordinating patient care with the healthcare team.
Candidates must hold an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing, a MN Registered Nurse license, and BLS certification. Two years of nursing experience is preferred.
Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes. Involves the patient, family, and other health care team members in gathering data. Uses an ongoing, systematic process to gather relevant data from patient and family. Analyzes data to identify needs and potential risks. Identifies outcomes that are age appropriate, culturally appropriate, realistic and attainable. Validates outcomes and develops plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and other healthcare team members. Documents data and identified outcomes. Implements nursing interventions based on plan of care. Evaluates care and the patient’s response to interventions and expected outcomes. Delivers care as prescribed by provider to assigned patient population, or individual patient. Uses communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes. Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level of population served.
Required Qualifications Associates Degree in Nursing or Bachelors Degree in Nursing MN Registered Nurse (RN) License Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
Preferred Qualifications: 2 years of nursing experience
