As a Sonographer, the individual will provide clinical services according to ultrasound practice standards and serve as a resource to students, residents, fellows, and other technologists to ensure optimal department functions. The role requires administering sound patient care practices according to hospital policies to ensure patient safety and completing ancillary tasks for efficient departmental operations.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a Diploma from a certified school of Radiology, along with a current RDMS license and current BLS Certification through the AHA. Two years of experience as a Registered Sonographer is required, with acute care experience being preferred.

Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies, e.g. The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR) and Title 22 standards and guidelines. Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times. Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public. Must have knowledge of PC and applications.
