The Residential Counselor provides direct support to individuals with Brain Injury or behavioral conditions in a residential setting, focusing on building independence skills and improving quality of life. Duties include administering medication, implementing treatment plans, assisting with daily living activities, and providing community transportation.
A High School Diploma or GED is required, though a Bachelor's degree in a Human Services related field is preferred. Candidates must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license for six months, and must pass background checks and obtain specific certifications shortly after employment.
