The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant will implement treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist, focusing on teaching and retraining patients in essential daily living activities to regain independence. Key duties include assisting in functional evaluations, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with care teams.
Candidates must be a graduate of an ACOTE-accredited OT Assistant program and eligible for or certified by NBCOT, along with state licensure requirements. A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a COTA, strong communication skills, and current CPR certification are mandatory.
