The Radiologic Technologist prepares patients and sets up radiographic equipment for angiographic procedures. They assist physicians and staff in the cath lab to ensure efficient operations and optimal image quality.
Candidates must have an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology and ARRT certification. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in cardiac catheterization or interventional radiology is required.
Certifications and Licensures
Credential: BLS: Basic Life Support
Knowledge of radiography as normally acquired through completion of an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology required. ARRT required. Knowledge of cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures as normally acquired through 1-2 years experience in the cardiac catheterization laboratory and/or the interventional radiology setting required.
