The Neurosurgery APP will provide patient-centered, team-based care, including inpatient rounding and clinic coverage. Responsibilities also include assisting in surgeries and managing postoperative care.
Candidates must be able to obtain a medical professional license in Washington and have full prescriptive authority. New graduates are encouraged to apply, and Nurse Practitioners must plan to become Certified Surgical First Assist.
Depending on departmental need and coverage, may be structured as 4/10 or 5/8 shifts, will also include weekend rounding/hospital inpatient coverage (1st contact text messages) including one weekend every 6 weeks Average # of patients seen per day: Daily inpatient rounding: 2 - 12 Clinic days: 2-5 per week, dependent on case load and coverage needs OR cases: 1 - 6 Three surgeons in the practice and will support all three including clinic coverage at any time for add on postoperative/symptom checks Must be: Willing to take calls/Voalte messages/rounding responsibilities ~in equitable arrangement with providers and APP in group Flexible for coverage to come in to assist in surgery on other days if agreed upon early and as needed to cover APP vacation/illness

$145,000 - $165,000 Amounts listed do not include quality/service incentives, and/or extra shift incentives as applicable. Our plan includes a sign-on bonus, and reimbursement toward moving expenses for qualified individuals and generous vacation, sick and holiday time off.
