The physician will evaluate, interpret, and coordinate patient care within a 30-bed Level 3 Trauma Center. They are expected to work collaboratively with a team of physicians, APPs, and support staff to maintain high-quality patient outcomes.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. Applicants must also be able to obtain an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa.
Annual visit volume = 41,000 Average patients per day = 111 Average 1.5-1.9 patients per hour 40 hours of physician coverage & 27 hours of APP coverage per day Work schedule = 12-15 ten hour shifts per month Level 3 Trauma Center 30 bed ED + 4 trauma bays No call, good work/life balance Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
