The Behavioral Health Specialist assists in the direct care and management of patients across all age ranges with medical and behavioral issues under the supervision of the LPN/RN as directed by the treatment team. This role also involves assisting with unit programming to facilitate therapy carryover, leisure activities, and activities of daily living.
Candidates require a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for a bachelor's degree or college courses in related healthcare or human development fields. Required certifications include current CPR and Handle With Care (HWC), and preferred experience is one year as a psychiatric or mental health aide.
