The Doctor Assistant will support the physician in the glaucoma department by performing patient work-ups, handling insurance prior authorizations, scribing, coding during exams, and assisting with surgical scheduling. Key duties also involve documenting in the electronic medical record, organizing clinic documents, and providing patient education.
Candidates must have previous experience in a medical office setting and familiarity with electronic medical record or medical office software. Essential abilities include effective computer data entry, teamwork, independent work capability, strong communication, and providing excellent patient service.
