The primary purpose is to perform respiratory/pulmonary therapy, management, rehabilitation, diagnostic evaluation, and direct care for patients with pulmonary system deficiencies. Essential duties include assessing patient needs, collecting and interpreting data, planning care outcomes, and performing interventions according to established policies.
Candidates must possess a minimum of an Associate Degree from an accredited school and be a graduate of a respiratory care program, with a Bachelor of Science in a health care field preferred. A minimum of one year of respiratory experience in an acute and/or subacute unit is preferred, along with current state Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure, CPR/BLS, and ACLS certifications.
