We are seeking a compassionate, full‑time Family Medicine with Obstetrics Physician to join an established and collegial primary care team at the Ethel Lund Medical Center.
This position offers a rewarding mix of outpatient and inpatient pediatrics, including hospital call responsibilities for newborn delivery attendance, newborn care, and pediatric admissions—allowing physicians to practice full‑spectrum while making a meaningful impact in the community.

Compensation & Benefits: Compensation salary: $263,764 -$293,071 based on years of experience, with additional productivity bonus based on wRVUs, and quality incentives.

Schedule and Work-Life Balance: Workweek: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with telemedicine included and four hours of administrative time.
Call Schedule: Bi-weekly for 3.5 days at a time, consisting of half-day clinic sessions, newborn delivery attendance, newborn care, and pediatric admissions rounding at Bartlett Regional Hospital, and at‑home call.
Generous Time Off: 33 days (264 hours) annually, including holidays, and 10 additional days of CME.
Practice Details: Clinic facilities: 16 exam spaces with two procedure rooms.
One medical assistant per physician, dedicated OB/Primary Care nurse case manager, nurse triage, and nutritionist.
Ancillary services include Mammogram, CT, DEXA, Ultrasound including ECHO, X‑ray, laboratory services, and MRI.
Patient Volume: 12-17 pediatric patients per day in clinic, plus 4 hours of administrative time weekly.
EMR and tools include Meditech, Dragon Dictation, and DAX AI assisted documentation.
Procedure opportunities: Women’s health, prenatal, vasectomies, colposcopies, circumcisions, wound care, draining abscesses, and cyst removal.
Hospital Capabilities: Nearby Bartlett Regional Hospital has 57 inpatient beds with 7 OB rooms, 2 C-Section rooms, and a special care nursery.
Qualifications
New graduates are encouraged to apply, particularly those with substantial obstetrics volume and experience during residency. Two to Four years of managing OB and inpatient pediatrics experience preferred. Active/unrestricted Alaska medical license or ability to obtain license. Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine. Unrestricted DEA.

Key Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the Job Provides highest quality evidenced based primary medical care to SEARHC patients; including pediatric and obstetrical care and deliveries. At times the Physician may be directed to provide services outside of the clinic to meet the patient’s needs, e.g., local long-term care center, Pioneer Home, patient’s home, and local schools. Provides guidance, consultation, and advice to SEARHC Advanced Practice Clinicians and when necessary provides supervision and practice plan oversight. Actively leads and manages a full panel of patients in coordination with the integrated care team. Documents all patient services in the medical record per medical staff rules and regulations. Participates in shared Obstetrics and Pediatric call rotation Participates in SEARHC (and as needed BRH) quality and performance improvement programs. Maintains active staff membership at both health care facilities. Provides medical education and teaching to visiting medical students and resident physicians. Participates in shared evening clinic and/or occasional weekend clinic coverage. Participates in ongoing medical education to maintain licensure and board certification.
