Veterinary Assistants support veterinarians and technicians by preparing exam rooms, assisting during appointments, taking client histories, and performing physical assessments. They are also responsible for educating clients on preventative care, performing venipuncture, monitoring hospitalized patients, and managing admission/discharge protocols.
The ideal candidate must possess a genuine love for animals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating flexibility and compassion. Preferred qualifications include previous veterinary hospital experience, knowledge of basic animal care, the ability to safely handle animals, and the physical capacity to lift up to 50 pounds.
Arvada Veterinary Hospital, part of the Suveto network of hospitals, is looking for an experienced full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our Team! We are proud to serve the Arvada, CO area for everything pet related.
This is a full-time position; four 1-hour shifts per week, including participation in the Saturday rotation (1 or 2 Saturdays per month is required)
Pay Range is $16.00 to $18.00 per hour.
Our Veterinary Assistants provide support to the veterinarian and veterinary technician as directed in various areas of the hospital; provide professional and efficient client service. This is a dynamic position that requires flexibility, compassion, and a strong work ethic. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
