The Clinical Dietitian conducts nutrition assessments for at-risk patients to determine and develop appropriate nutrition therapy plans, documenting findings using approved hospital procedures. Responsibilities also include serving as a nutrition resource for staff, participating in research, and monitoring foodservice operations to ensure optimal patient nutritional delivery.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition/Dietetics and complete a Dietetic Internship or supervised practice program. Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is required, or eligibility to pass the exam within six months of internship completion.
