Perform specialized breast imaging services to assist providers in the diagnosis and treatment of breast conditions. Ensure high-quality patient care through precise imaging, equipment maintenance, and adherence to accreditation standards.
Requires graduation from an accredited imaging/radiology program and BLS certification. Depending on the level, candidates need between 0 to 5+ years of experience and ARRT(RT)(M) certification.
Mammographer - Breast Health Network - Oklahoma City Department: Breast Health Central
Skill in applying principles of mammography and/or radiologic technology, medical imaging, medical terminology, positioning of patients, and medical ethics. Demonstrates foundational knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology, basic mammography principles and/or radiologic technology, medical imaging, medical terminology. Applies core mammography theory, practice and techniques to perform examinations and complete basic post-processing analysis, and documentation with general supervision or assistance. Demonstrates clear and respectful verbal and written communication skills to exchange basic information with patients, families, and team members. Ability to prioritize and complete assigned clinical and non‑clinical work tasks with guidance and direction, progressively developing independence in managing routine responsibilities.
