The Interventional Vascular Technologist provides technical assistance for diagnostic and interventional procedures, including cardiac catheterization and vascular procedures, while acquiring and processing high-quality images. This role requires utilizing sterile technique during procedures, operating ancillary equipment, administering contrast agents, and monitoring patients.
Candidates must be graduates of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology and hold current Registered Technologist credentialing from the ARRT [R.T.(R) (ARRT)] in good standing, along with state licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Preferred qualifications include one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist and specific ARRT certifications in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography or Vascular-Interventional Radiology.
